Reviews For Our Botox
Professional and friendly, with a really thorough consultation. My Botox looks natural and refreshed, not frozen. Very happy with the result.
I've had botox before at other places, but this was the first time I actually felt like someone took the time to really assess my face. Dr Shah was so honest about what would work and what wasn't necessary yet. Two weeks in and the lines are softened, but my face still moves naturally. I didn't want a frozen look, just a more rested one. Nailed it.
I've had masseter Botox with Dr Majid twice now, he made me feel at ease about the procedure and I have been super happy with the results. I would definitely recommend him to anybody looking for masseter Botox.
Before & After
What to Expect at Appointment
Appointments at the Dr Majid Shah clinic take 15–30 minutes from arrival to completion. The process follows three stages:
Consultation — Dr Shah assesses the treatment areas, discusses your goals, and agrees the injection plan and dose. This takes place at every appointment, not just your first.
Treatment — Botox is administered using a fine needle. A numbing solution is applied in advance. Most patients describe the sensation as a minor sting lasting 1–2 seconds per injection point.
Aftercare briefing — Dr Shah reviews aftercare instructions before you leave. No downtime is required and most patients return to normal activity immediately.

Botox Treatment Areas

Jaw slimming
Both weak and overly pronounced jawlines can be transformed with injectables. Filler can be used to add shape and definition to the face jawline. Jaw botulinum toxin can be used to relax the masseter (or chewing) muscle in order to reduce the jaw size.

Lip Flip
Where the Cupid’s bow is upturned using injectables, increasing the visible surface area of the lip. The natural shape of the lip is maintained, without over-volumizing. Cupid’s bow is the perfect injection for an elegant and feminine look. It’s great for the lips and cheeks, giving you a full and youthful complexion.

Eyebags
Circles under the eyes are treated for a fresher, more vibrant, more awake appearance. Eyebags—often caused by stress, genetics, and age—can appear as a frown line, giving you an older and more aged appearance that you may not like. Eyebags are now treated to help reduce excess skin and smooth the area for a natural, less fatigued appearance.

11's
Anti-wrinkle injections are used to relax the muscles in the forehead and frown lines. It allows them and wrinkles to soften. This is also an excellent place for preventative.

Gummy Smile
A gummy smile can be caused when the muscles around the mouth pull the lip too high up when we smile. Because we are able to relax these muscles, and prevent them from over pulling, less of the teeth and gums are revealed when we smile.

Brow Lift (Botox)
Our brows can drop over time. With a botulinum toxin brow lift, we inject between the face brows, allowing the muscles underneath them to relax, and the forehead muscles to ‘pull’ the brows up to their original position.

What is Botox?
Botox is a prescription-only treatment made from botulinum toxin type A.
It relaxes targeted facial muscles to soften the appearance of expression lines — including forehead lines, frown lines (11s), and crow’s feet.
Results appear within 3–5 days and are tailored to maintain a natural look.
At the Dr Majid Shah clinic, every anti-wrinkle treatment starts with a one-to-one consultation to assess suitability and agree your plan.
Frequently Asked Questions
How does botulinum toxin work?
We treat the facial muscles that are responsible for fine lines.
The botulinum toxin works by blocking the transmission of signals from the nerve ending to the muscle. This causes temporary controlled paralysis, which results in the reduction or loss of skin wrinkles.
We expect to see results up to ten days from the day of Botox treatment.
The desired outcome is to reduce deep wrinkles on the face during expression, while looking as natural as possible.
What causes the need for Botox?
To understand how it works, we need to understand the role of the facial muscles in wrinkling. Creases in our skin occur whenever we frown, laugh, squint, or smile. When we’re young, our skin bounces straight back. But as we get older, our cells regenerate more slowly, and our epidermis gets thinner. These means the creases tend to stay for good.
How long does botulinum toxin last?
Results typically last 3–6 months, depending on the area treated, your muscle strength, and your metabolism.
Many people find results last closer to 3–4 months at first, with maintenance treatments helping keep lines softened over time.
Men may notice results wear off sooner due to stronger facial muscles. Your expected duration will be discussed at consultation.
How Much Does it Cost?

Is botulinum toxin Safe or Has Bad Side Effects?
Botulinum toxin has been used in medical practice for many years and is generally safe when prescribed and administered by a qualified practitioner.
The most common side effects are minor bruising or swelling at the injection site, which typically resolve within 2–5 days.
A small number of patients experience a mild headache on the day of treatment. Temporary localised drooping of the brow or eyelid is rare and usually resolves as the effects wear off.
What is the best non-surgical therapy for wrinkle removal?
Botox is one of the most established non-surgical options for reducing the appearance of dynamic wrinkles — lines caused by repeated facial movement such as frowning or squinting.
Results typically start in 3–5 days and build over 10–14 days, with no recovery time, and appointments usually take 15–30 minutes.
For deeper static lines or volume loss, it may be combined with dermal fillers. Dr Shah will advise on the most appropriate approach at your consultation.
Do wrinkles get worse after botulinum toxin??
As with all cosmetic treatments, the patient will be better off after the procedure. Once the effects fade the patient’s muscles will return to their original shape, and the fine lines will reappear.
However, the lines will not be any worse than if the Botox had not been done.
At what age should you start getting wrinkle injections?
There is no set age that you ‘should’ embark on this aesthetic procedure, because the formation of wrinkles is dependent on the lifestyle and genetics of the individual. However, many of us start noticing fine lines during our late twenties and some teenagers can experience scarring from acne. The earlier you start, the more inhibited the muscle will be, meaning lines are much less likely to form as we age or makes removal far easier.
What is the 4 hour rule for Botox?
- Do not touch/massage the treated area for 3 – 4 hours
- Remain upright for 3 – 4 hours
- No exercise 24 hours after treatment
- Avoid sunbeds for 7 days
- No facials/chemical skin peels or laser resurfacing treatment for 7 days
Is the treatment painful?
Botox treatment – as with all injectable treatments – is minimally painful. Everyone is different – some find the procedure slightly uncomfortable; some don’t feel anything at all. Either way, we apply numbing solution to the area well in advance of starting the injections.
You can also take a paracetamol before your appointment if you’re nervous about the pain. Patients tend to get used to the feeling very quickly.
What areas can be treated?
Although its most commonly used to treat frown and forehead lines (‘glabellar lines’ or ‘angry 11s’), it can be used all over the face and body to roll back the years. Many people receive Botox for the correction of outer-eye wrinkles (‘crow’s feet’), lines across the bridge of the nose (‘bunny lines’) and deep lines in the neck (‘ platysmal bands’). It can be used to correct a gummy smile, dents in the chin, and even excessive sweating.
Bear in mind that there are common injector mistakes that have been know to make newspaper column inches. To understand more about this visit our Where Not to Inject Botox. post.
Can men get anti-wrinkle injections?
There is no difference in the application of Dermal fillers for men and women. Both can enjoy the benefits of being a new you. Many men find Botox or anti-wrinkle injections to be great confidence boosters against the signs of ageing. When skilfully applied, the average person won’t be able to tell you’ve undergone any removal treatment to get these results.
What will I look like after my treatment?
Injectables leave the faintest of traces. You may be able to see tiny puncture marks immediately after your treatment where the needles have entered the skin. Bleeding will be minimal. For 2-4 days following your appointment, you may encounter some slight bruising and give yourself some aftercare for example staying out of the sun, not touching the face or avoid sleeping on an area that’s had treatment. However, many people experience little to no visible side effects at all.
Who will perform my treatment?
All treatments are performed personally by Dr Majid Shah (GDC No: 195211). He holds a BDS from King’s College London and has advanced training in injectable aesthetics.
Your consultation and treatment are carried out by Dr Shah at every appointment.
Can I get botulinum toxin during pregnancy ?
No. There is not enough evidence to confirm that the injection of botulinum toxin – an otherwise harmless toxin – will not cause potential harm to a foetus. It’s never advised to undergo an injectable treatment while pregnant.
Why not to get Botox on the forehead?
It’s not “never”; it depends on anatomy, dose, and placement to avoid heaviness/brow drop.
